As the arrow buried itself in Professor Cortez’s left shoulder, with his right, he made an upward pulling motion. Bursting from the ground, a large, smooth wall about three feet in thickness separated the professor and his students from the angle of the shooter. Just in time as multiple arrows can be heard hitting the wall. Pulling his glasses down to allow himself full Seer vision, he ascertained that the threat was in that direction only.
“Everyone! Quickly get flat against the wall!”
Shocked about what just occurred, the students rushed to do as he said. With a couple of years of magic under their belts, the kids have learned to operate while bizarre things are happening.
“Hey Professor, there is an arrow in your shoulder,” I say as I’m stepping forward to look at it closer.
